ROTOP Pharmaka

ROTOP Pharmaka GmbH is a nuclear-medicine pharmaceutical company in Dresden (Bautzner Landstr. 400, 01328 Dresden). It makes radioactive tracers for cancer diagnostics and is a development partner for large pharma and startups in cancer therapy. About 50 years in business, roughly 200 employees (~170 FTE). The sector has a strong tailwind since Novartis’s Pluvicto validated the theranostics model.

Background

ROTOP operates as two legal entities:

  • ROTOP Pharmak: the non-radioactive business.
  • ROTOP Pharmazie: the radioactive business, including theranostics.

Business Central covers both entities; Sage is used only in Pharmazie. Consolidation across the two entities is the flagship demo case the CFO wants to see first.

Ownership and carve-out. ROTOP is a portfolio company of the PE firm GENUI. It was previously part of the family-owned MDG group and is mid carve-out into its own infrastructure. Business Central and Sage still sit in shared MDG databases (separated at the mandate/UI level), so MDG cooperation is required for a one-time data extract; the earliest realistic exit from MDG is end of September 2026. Parallel carve-out workstreams: Microsoft tenancy migration, network/firewall, and the Business Central split.

Intro chain. Colayer (Manu Lachmann) connected Bijan to Oliver Serg at GENUI, who introduced Dr. Michael Peterseim (CFO). Peterseim and Bijan share an RB Restrukturierung (Roland Berger) alumni background.

Signing rule. ROTOP requires two signatories, typically the CFO (Peterseim) and the CEO (Junker).

Contacts

Additional names in ROTOP’s orbit (not yet separate entities): Hendrike Heinrich (IT/Ops area head, Rex’s manager), Frank Gaebler (IT, GitHub/Sage side), and Julia (marketing/CS, building Claude-based automation).
